Pepper Hill Center for Rehabilitation and Healing and our in-house therapy team work together to provide an interdisciplinary approach to the management of post-procedural rehabilitation and common age-related illnesses and prevention of hospital readmissions.
How do we do it?
By providing exceptional Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy to improve physical function and independence.
Our rehab team’s clinical excellence and quality patient-centered care are individualized to restore independence, strength, and mobility for ongoing positive quality of life.
THE THERAPIST'S ROLE
The Role of the occupational therapist
Our occupational therapists treat patients who are injured, ill or disabled through the therapeutic use of everyday activities.
OTs help patients develop, recover and improve the skills needed for daily living and working through compensatory and adaptive strategies to achieve the patients’ highest level of independence.
The Role of the physical therapist
Our physical therapists provide services that help restore function, improve mobility, and relieve pain in patients with physical disabilities, injury, or disease.
PTs utilize clinical programs including strength and balance training, fall prevention, and ambulation training to restore, maintain, and promote overall fitness and health.
The Role of the speech therapist
Our speech and language pathologists treat patients with communication problems, memory loss, disorientation, cognitive deficits, and swallowing dysfunctions.
SLPs utilize treatment plans that focus on oral muscle strength for speech, safe eating, and drinking, as well as areas affecting swallowing and cognition.
