How do you pay for nursing home care?

What’s the difference between Medicare and Medicaid?
Medicare is a federal program that will pay for a short term rehab stay at a skilled nursing facility after an individual meets the Medicare qualifications.
Medicaid is available to certain low-income residents who fit into an eligibility group that is recognized by federal and state law. (Please visit Insurance to learn more.)
What steps do I need to take if my loved one is in the hospital and I want to get them into rehab at Pepper Hill?
First, contact the Social Worker/Case Manager at the hospital where your loved one is being treated.
The Social Worker/Case Manager will work with the facility’s Admissions Coordinator to ensure that a bed is available and ensure the proper paperwork is faxed to our facility.
Next, you may contact the Admissions Coordinator and schedule a meeting and/or tour and discuss any questions you may have upon admission.
What Therapies do you offer?
The Pepper Hill Center for Rehabilitation and Healing offers Physical, Occupational, and Speech therapy.
Each resident is different and this makes each recovery process different as well.
